The only things I’ve heard on the grapevine so far are our U.S./Aussie friends joining Sorrow’s (US) and Wally’s guild joining Desolation (EU). It’s a balancing act of picking a server that will be popular, but not so much there isn’t space for us all into the future, that’s active in WvW so we get Mists bonuses, but not so bad that we spend our gaming lives in overflow

To safeguard my GW1 names:
Rothgar Remorhaz – Human Necromancer (of course)
Squire Pug – Human Elementalist (Feist books)
Sir Sparhawk Elenia/Elenium – Human Guardian (Eddings books)
Rest not sure, maybe 2 choices of:
Asuran Engineer (would have preferred a Botist but can’t)
Norn Warrior (its cuddly bear time)
Charr or Sylvan Ranger (like the look of barrage)
I would prefer more slots but beggars (and we are) can’t be choosers.
Asuran engineer is cute/ugly female called Klimie Plisher – sounds vaguely Asuran and anybody remember Climie Fisher – “I know you gonna dig this”
I think I’ll only be reusing two GW1 names, but I can’t really decide. Will definitely be making:
Aaliyah Thelon as a Sylvari ele (in GW1 ele never really gripped me, but in GW2 it’s probably my second favourite profession thus far!)
Kodiak Thelon as a Charr necro.
I’ve tried ranger and engineer a little each, and enjoyed them, so they’ll probably be making an appearance as:
Zarkov Thelon as an Asura engineer.
Eloise Thelon as a Human ranger.
I’d like a Norn to round out my completist side, and Norn racial skills seem to suit warrior-style play, but I really can’t decide which of the remaining four professions I fancy… Warrior, thief, guardian or mesmer…
The clock is ticking and we should make a Guild name decision before headstart – are we sticking with Friends After Ragnarok (LIFE) or one of the others? The TOTAL OF 2 votes are split between LIFE and 9L (Nine Lives). Would it be possible to get more votes?
I was looking at that, for some reason people are really shy about voting and just Skype me instead… c’est la vie.
The consensus is “I’d prefer something new if we can think of something better than Friends After Ragnarok [LIFE]”, then silence, lol 😛
If there’s no more suggestions before we’re in-game Saturday, I’ll make LIFE, we can always disband and remake under a new awesome name once genius mojo starts flowing with someone 😛

How about “Children of Ragnarok” (CHOR) or (LIFE) – i.e. the dragons emerge as in Ragnarok?
I like Children of Ragnarok.

Hiya Wally – long time…..
One thing that we have already pointed out – overflow (o/f) is very common on Gandara, I was in overflow most of the time last night. When I switched back to normal, the place was virtually empty yet the exact same spot in o/f was teeming with about 40 people doing a quest. They need to balance the numbers a bit.
That said – do we have 7 days left to choose a server (Gandara is in top 3 for WvW but if we in o/f all the time it will be a pig to do a guild outing/dungeon) as from the start of the 3-day headstart or from the official launch date?
Wally’s currently on Desolation so is probably getting the same crap as us. I’m open to moving server, but not rushing into anything because I think you’re right, it’s just a number balancing game they need to get right, and I’d rather be on a busier server which does well in WvW where there’s always randoms pottering about 😛
Hey guys …. hope the game is good. I won’t be able to start until tomorrow at the earliest. It sounds like we may be wobbling a bit on the choice of home world now. Should I wait or is Gandara still the preferred choice?
Unless something drastic happens today, it’ll be Gandara tomorrow 🙂

I’ve now got on to GW2 and made Gandara my homeworld.
My first Character is actually Cateye Strike rather than Furion Five Ranger as I suggested earlier. Still a ranger though … I’ll let you all know about any other chars I create.
